The Gospel Advocates (TGA) was founded on September 1, 2018 in Accra, Ghana as a non-denominational evangelistic ministry after Mr Selom Kpikpitse, the vision bearer of this ministry shared a conviction on his heart to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to students in less endowed senior high schools with four (4) close friends namely, Mr Robert Nomo Jnr, Mrs Adwoa Kpikpitse, Mr Frederick Adu-Gyamfi and Mrs Benedicta Akaribo. This team of five (5) fellows constituted the ministry’s first batch of Executive Council Members.
TGA, which started off as a senior high school ministry, undertaking its maiden missions in Ghanata Senior High School has incorporated other forms of outreach programmes such as community outreaches (Youth 4 Christ Campaign), medical missions, feed the kids project (where hot meals are provided for children in rural communities) and digital / social media missions. The ministry, in spite of these diversifications, has maintained its prime focus on propagating the gospel and empowering the youth particularly in rural/deprived settings.
Today, the ministry has an active membership of 170 young men and women. Members of this ministry are professionals and students from various tertiary institutions in Ghana. Our members contribute their talents, energies, time and money to fulfil the objectives of this ministry which is essentially missions.
